Hypnosis is rapidly emerging as a highly effective method for resolving personal challenges. Hypnosis like daydreaming, is a 100% consent state. If at anytime you want to emerge from the state for any reason, you will instantly, naturally, open your eyes and become fully alert. It's just a matter changing your mind. No one can keep you in hypnosis against your will.
Most hypnotists, on interviewing a new client, will ask the client what he or she thinks hypnosis is. Replies range from sleep, to unconsciousness, to surrender of mental powers and control, to magic. All are in error.
Hypnosis is not sleep. In most cases the client is fully aware of all the sounds and events around him/her. The client is an active participant throughout the session. There is no surrender of mind or control. Aperson who does not want to be hypnotized cannot be hypnotized or be induced to say or do anything that would violate personal standards of behavior or integrity.
The hypnotist, like a coach, guides the client into hypnosis. When the client is in hypnosis, he/she is deeply relaxed physically, but is mentally many times more alert then in a normal state of awareness. The client hears and responds to everything and is an active participant in the session. The goal of the hypnotist is help the client to resolve negative issues and achieve their goal by using appropriate suggestions and techniques.
We are all what the programming in our subconscious mind perceives us to be. If this part of the mind views us as fat, we become fat. If it perceives us to be shy, we become shy, so it is with poor self image and lack of confidence. What we perceive ourselves to be, we become. With hypnosis we are able to access this inner mind, which is like a computer, and re-program ourselves to be whatever we wish to be.
Hypnosis is a natural state of mind. We are in and out of that state several times a day. When we daydream or even while we are driving. In reality all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. Anyone can enter hypnosis very easily providing they want to be hypnotized. The only thing that stops an individual from going into hypnosis is fear or misconceptions that they have about hypnosis.
Every thought or idea causes a physical reaction. Anger, worry, fear, sorrow, these emotions evoke real feelings and real changes within us.
What the mind expects to happen tends to be realized. As you image yourself to be, so you become.
Once an idea has been accepted by the subconscious mind, it remains until replaced by another thought.
A habit is easier to follow the longer it is unbroken.
Imagination is more powerful than knowledge. Reason is easily over ruled by the imagination.
The harder you try, the harder it becomes to accomplish your goal.
